Who We Are

Better Days is an all volunteer organization that relies on the kindness of people who donate money, food, litter and other necessities to care for the cats and kittens that we take in. Better Days is Based in Woodbury, CT.
We are not a shelter; our cats and kittens are cared for in foster homes where they get love and attention as close to a real home as possible. Unlike a shelter environment, foster homes have no cages. Cats and kittens that come in from outside get used to “home life,” the sound of the vacuum, dishwasher, TV. They get to sleep on our beds at night and in our laps while we watch TV. They live with us, so we care for them as our own and we know their personalities. This aids us in finding the best match and loving homes.
We are a 501c3 non-profit organization

Your Donations

Unlike large national charities, overhead is low and your money goes directly to care, rescue and adoption efforts. You also have the comfort of knowing your donation is helping the local community. To find out about all of the ways to donate visit our donation page.
Feral Colonies

Better Days also takes care of feral colonies through “TNR,” Trap, Neuter, Release. Feral cat populations get out of control fast. We do as much as our funding allows to stop the reproduction of more feral cats by spaying and neutering cats in a colony and then releasing them back to live out their lives. These colonies are fed and cared for by local community members.
Help for rescue groups

Our goal is to continue our rescue efforts while working toward our primary mission to become an organization that raises money for qualified rescue groups to help them defer some of their costs freeing them up to rescue more cats. Learn more....
