While the veterinarians we use generously provide services at a reduced cost, medical care remains the largest expense related to caring for “rescues.” Each cat is given a thorough exam and vaccines. Often, they need additional help, including costly surgeries and more long-term care to regain health and be ready for adoption. All rescues are also spayed/neutered. The average cost per cat is $500 to $1,000 Even more if they need surgeries and long-term care.
BDRF is entirely made up of volunteers. Rescued cats live with foster families. So, unlike large national charities, overhead is low and your money goes directly to care, rescue and adoption efforts. You also have the comfort of knowing your donation is helping the local community.
The Better Days Rescue Fund works diligently to keep costs low and to apply as much money as possible to direct care.
The Better Days Rescue Fund is a 501c3 non-profit charity. Donations are tax deductible.
