Become a bdrf volunteer!

We are looking for volunteers who can commit to one morning a week to help us keep the sanctuary neat and clean!

Thank you for wanting to help our sanctuary kitties! Taking care of the cats and the sanctuary is a fun and rewarding experience! You will be helping to provide a clean and safe environment for the cats and our sanctuary guests. Here are a few things to note before you apply

The sanctuary is in Roxbury, CT
Volunteers must be 18 or older with a driver's license and reliable transportation
This volunteer opportunity involves cleaning and working inside and outside the sanctuary – scooping litter boxes, sweeping and mopping floors, scrubbing walls, etc.
Volunteers need to be able to bend, reach and otherwise physically perform these tasks. You need to be able to lift a 20-pound bag of cat food.
We are looking for volunteers who can commit to a weekly 3-hour shift and be reliable.
