Sanctuary Needed for Unadoptable Cats
and Kittens

Picture
We are surviving the best we can, but after a long winter on our own we need help and a safe place to live. We are worth saving!

My name is Jewels, I am "un-adoptable" but I am worth saving
The colony in below zero conditions
Picture
My name is Gloria. I was hit by a car and I broke my leg and dislocated my hip. I suffered in the freezing cold with my injuries for 10 days before I was found. I did not like people and was afraid. But I am healed now and I am learning to trust my foster mom. I am happy, healthy and enjoying my life! I am "un-adoptable" but I was worth saving!
Picture
My name is Guinness. I survived by living in the basement of this abandoned house. I was sick with a cold so bad that I could hardly breath I did not have long to live when I was rescued. I still have some problems with runny eyes. But I am friendly, fun and loving. I am "un-adoptable" but I was worth saving!
Picture
My Name is Wellington. I was on the street for 4 years, literally fighting for survival. I am covered in scabs and scars, I am FIV+ . but I am sweet, loving and a real character. I am so happy to be safe that I purr to my self! I am "un-adoptable" but I was worth saving!
Picture
My name is Gavin. I've been suffering on the street for 9 years. I am FIV+, scarred over my whole body from fighting, my teeth are broken and my ears are damaged. People threw rocks at me to make me go away. But I am loving, kind and gentle. I am "un-adoptable" but I was worth saving!
BDRF has been rescuing abandoned cats for about 10 years. We don't turn our backs on what many rescues and shelters consider "un-adoptable". We rescue every cat we have space and funding for. We rescue feral cats, FIV+, Deaf, injured, older cats, cats missing eyes, missing ears and limbs, cats with skin issues, hyperthyroidism, chronic URI. We feel that every life is important and if we can bring better days and quality of life to a cat that has suffered for years just trying to survive in the most unfathomable conditions, then we make every effort to do it. We show them kindness, love and understanding of their physical or behavioral issues. They reward us by flourishing, by loving their life and transforming into wonderful and beautiful companions. If they are not adopted they live in foster care for their natural life and they are loved.

Unfortunately the need is great. These cats and many more "un-adoptable" long term cats in our foster homes need a sanctuary to live out their lives where they are cared for, loved and live in comfort. A place where they can safely go out side in an enclosure and lay in the sun on the grass and enjoy every day far from the horrible conditions in which they were found.

While we have the ability and experience to help these "un-adoptable" precious lives, we are out of space and funding to continue. However,  we are not out of energy, compassion and dedication! So we are making plans to fund raise for a sanctuary for the un-adoptable, the unwanted, the forgotten.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! We need land, a home and large amounts of funding. If you or anyone you know would like to meet with us on this very important project please contact Yvonne. Time is of the essence as the suffering continues in silence.

My name is Luke Skywalker. I was born in this garbage filled shed. I was a "feral" kitten and did not trust people. I was showed kindness and I came back from the "dark side" ...I am now a loving kitten who will have a home soon! I was worth saving!
Picture
My name is Pokey. I was born in this basement. I was dirty, covered in fleas and scared for my life. I now live with my brother in my new home, spoiled rotten! I was worth saving!
Picture
My name is Abbey. I lived in this basement and had my kittens here too. I had no where to go after I was tossed out by my family. Now I live with a new family who treat my like a queen! I am loved! I was worth saving!
